The concept is great and it is made fairly well but the instruction sheet is not very user friendly, images are too clutered and lack information (below). Agree with the other user that you should use a stronger adhesive. My unit did not work out of box. Advised by manufacturer to replace the factory alkaline battery to one that has at least a 7 year advanced date, but this was not advised on the instruction sheet. My unit does not light up according to the times advertised, even after verbal instructions from the manufacturer, but when it does light, it is bright and the numbers are large and clear. In spite of all the negatives, I really like the positive features and plan to exchange the unit for another hoping the automatic lighting on/off time will work on a different unit.
11/21/11 Purchased two other units put in new batteries, 1 rechargeable and 1 alkaline and neither of these units light function worked. Called manufacturer and was told to return at my expense which I believe is for the birds. Decided to return both units to seller. Contacting La Crosse is a two day ordeal. I'm keeping the one unit without the lighting feature as a day time unit only. This continues to be a LOVE & HATE product.

Works just like I'd hoped it would. We can see it across the room for a quick check to know if coats are necessary and yet it's unobtrusive,sleek and accurate. Cool product!
