Like with all Maxpedition products the bottle holder is well made and durable. I purchased the additional shoulder strap and pad from another seller to make a great day hike kit. Plenty of MOLLE attachment points for additional pouches. Currently using it with a Guyout stainless steel 38 oz bottle and Vargo Ti-Lite Mug.

While a bit pricey, Maxpedition makes a great, rugged, bag. It's a bummer this comes without a shoulder strap, but I guess I can look forward to making one with paracord. Holds my Stainless Nalgene with the tapered bottle with ease and a good size pouch to hold car keys, wallet, cell phone, etc.

I bought two of these Maxpedition Bottle Holders. They fit a little snug so if you have a cup that your 32 ounce water bottle fits into, it will be extremely hard to get in and out of the bottle holder. The most disappointing thing about it was that the zippers on both of them are really hard to open and close. Maxpedition always us high quality zippers on their gear, but these are awful. The rest of the materials and workmanship is up to Maxpedition's high standards. I would not buy them for everyday use as it would be too frustrating to open and close very often. They would be fine for occasional use such as a bug-out-bag or hurricane/earthquake kit.
